Yes, our paint is safe for kids to use. Benjamin Moore is committed to developing environmentally responsible products designed to meet and exceed industry standards. The “Green Promise” of our company is committed to using products that are effective, safe, and minimizing impacts on the environment. Benjamin Moore paints are certified by third party companies, such as the Master Painter’s Institute (MPI), to be low odor and low VOC, safe even on skin contact.

We have a variety of images ranging in complexity. We expect that most children between the ages of 7-12 should be able to complete the images between 5-8 hours.
As with many of our other clients who may not have painted a mural before, we understand your concern that the image may not turn out as perfectly as you had envisioned. Rest assured, as there’s no need to fret. We encourage children to interpret the image as they feel suitable to their space and to inject their own personality into the image.
If it’s your child’s first time painting, imagine as though it’s their first time cooking. It will be challenging, but it’s about the experience of trying something new and enjoying the process. A little more or a little less salt to your preferred taste is the same as a little larger or a little smaller sized image. It’s all great, as long as your child is happy with it.
If you have a projector, you can always project the image onto the wall and use it as a guideline to start the artwork. Some rooms are a little taller or shorter and some are a little wider or narrower. You can fill in the available area with larger or wider images. Your child can use the provided chalk to draw the initial image on the wall and change it as many times as they feel comfortable before they begin painting. Even after they begin to paint, they can tweak the shapes by repainting; just be sure to allow enough time for each coat of paint to dry before recoating.
At the end of the project, your child will be thrilled at their accomplishment and so proud of themselves. We hope that you enjoy the project and have fun!
Benjamin Moore paint typically dries to the touch within 30 minutes on most walls. Depending on the thickness of the application and the relative humidity, the paint should be ready for recoating after 1 hour. The paint will fully “cure” and reach its maximum hardness in 14 days.
Benjamin Moore paints are non-toxic and odorless. Our paint typically dries within 1-2 hours on most walls. We recommend moving into the room after the paint is dry.
Benjamin Moore’s high performance paints are highly durable, have high hiding characteristics, and are self-priming on most substrates. You can simply paint over the existing wall that you wish to change. To cover darker colors, we recommend the use of a Benjamin Moore primer.

Benjamin Moore’s latex paints are water-based and easy to clean with warm soapy water. You can moisten the included rags to quickly wipe away any over painting that is still wet. Our coating calculates the waste of partial repainting and can satisfy the need for additional coating for children due to mispainting.
